Remove Sand Before It Causes Damage
Filtaworx Sand Separators use centrifugal force to remove sand, grit, and heavy particulate from water. As water enters the separator tangentially, it creates a vortex that forces heavier particles to the outer wall and down into a collection chamber. Clean water exits from the centre of the vortex at the top of the unit.
With no screens to clean and no moving parts, sand separators provide virtually maintenance-free pre-treatment. They are commonly installed upstream of screen filters to reduce sediment load and extend screen cleaning intervals — particularly effective for bore water, river water, and other high-sand-content sources.

Automatic Purge Option
Optional automatic purge valve allows accumulated sediment to be flushed without shutting down the system or manual intervention.

Vertical installation orientation minimises floor space requirements. Suitable for retrofitting into existing installations with limited space.
Ideal Pre-Treatment
